Vigilance Awareness Week 2012

Vigilance Awareness Week, 2012 was observed in all offices of CRIS from 29th October to 3rd November 2012. Various programmes were held for its observance that included a pledge ceremony which included presentation on “The Whistle – blower’s regulation-salient points”, an essay competition on “How to tackle corruption and fraud in Public Dealing/Mass Contact Areas through the use of IT”. Also presentations on “Security Threats in IT systems” and “Protection against Fraudulent transactions in PRS” were organised which were given by GM(I&S) and PRS group respectively. All the programmes engaged officers and staff from CRIS and were informative as well as interactive.

Adviser/Vigilance who is CVO of Indian Railways was gracious enough to visit CRIS Office at Pragati Maidan, Metro Station. Shri A.K Maitra, Adviser/Vigilance along with ED/Vigilance attended a session and interacted with CRIS Officers besides sharing his experiences as the head of Vigilance Organisations of Indian Railways. Areas such as public procurement, Effects of RTI ACT, Railways working in Mass Contact area and future road map ahead w.r.t. Indian Railways and CRIS was discussed in the closing session. Adviser Vigilance also presented awards to winners of the Essay competition.
