The developed computer system, named WEB CLAIMS (Claims, Court and Accident Information Management System) will automate the activities of the Claims Office thus providing a user-friendly, information system of claims, court and accident cases.
The Web CLAIMS covers the activities of
Computer section (MIS-Report Generation)
Index section (Case entry Section)
Dealing sections (Dealing with all the proceedings of a particular case)
Court sections (Dealing with claims related court cases)
Accident processing section (Dealing with accident and accident related court cases).
The Web CLAIMS will maintain up to date database of all the CLAIMS/COURT/ACCIDENT cases. The Web CLAIMS will generate various documents & letters, which are currently prepared manually. The developed system will help to eliminate complex file maintenance & provide for queries, which will give the precise status of registered cases in Chief Claims Office.

Claims rules and regulations can now be seen at this site. This site also maintains contact details of all Zonal Claims Offices and NR Cells. Running applet also displays major accident occurred and details of victims involved in the accident.
Note: This Project-II group has also been assigned to complete PARCEL INFORMATION SYSTEM for Delhi-Howrah route by December 2004
